There are a couple of programs I use (only occasionally), but they seem to be memory hogs! If I'm running programs to near-capacity and try to load up another program that takes up more memory than I have, Vista does nothing.. That's right.. It doesn't even tell me that there isn't enough RAM.. What a pain.. maybe we should have gone with the 4GB option....or bought a Mac.. :) Something else that I’ve discovered about Vista..

Down with Macs!!

After that post, I finally called HP Support directly. It took an hour on the phone, but the guy on the other end was very helpful, and in the end, helped me solve the problem. Not only that, but he made a couple suggestions for the future, if I add any other pieces of hardware (HP or not).. So, initially, I was very soured by the whole thing. Fortunatly, I could recognize that it wasn't HP's fault, but Microsoft's... for ever designing Windows Vista.. Well.. After that post, I finally called HP Support directly.
