The Return to Work?

Published by Cameron at 1:45 pm under General, Life, Work

Today, I went out to the local hardware store to pick up a couple of things to create a fireplace fence to keep my kids away from it..

I went to the lumber section, picked up the wood, paid for it and left the store..

And then I realized..

…I just picked up eight pieces of 2×2 lumber (8 feet long)…  I loaded them into my van..

…it didn’t hurt my back!

Now, I’m quite sure that my back is not much better than it was before…  but ever since I stopped going to physio a couple weeks ago, it hurts much less..  I seem to be able to move around with much less pain..  I’m sure that it’s those magical yellow pills that I’m taking (nerve blocking wonders that they are!), but I’m able to do it..

So, I’m thinking about returning to work..  By no means am I done trying to get my back treated (cortisone shot in December, neurosurgeon in April), but I think that it may be a real possibility that I could return within a couple weeks..

I will have to see what my doctor thinks about this idea when I see him next Friday…

After going shopping with my wife yesterday, it only took about 20 minutes to realize….

I don’t think going back is going to work.. I was feeling worse and worse the longer that we were out..

    Oh well…
