Disposal Dilemma

Published by Cameron at 11:58 pm under General, Life, Technology

I have a question.. I’m hoping that someone (reads this) has an answer….

How do you dispose of an old fire extinuigisher?  We have this one here that came with the house when we bought it, but it appears to be rusting a bit around the top.  It doesn’t exactly inspire confidence in me..

I can just picture it..

A small fire starts in the kitchen..  I grab the fire extinguisher, pull the pin, aim the nozzle, and depress the trigger.. Fizzzz…..  nothing happens…

We already have one that we’ve replaced it with, but now I have this household size fire extinguisher that I have no idea what to do with it..

Any ideas?  Thanks!

my guess would be to call the fire departments non emergency line and ask. you probably find someone will come get it.

Hey Cam…Call the local fire department or you can take it to the dump. They should have measures in place for safe disposal of it!
