How Much Time Do You Spend Commuting?

Published by Cameron at 9:56 am under General, Ponder, Work

A couple days ago, I was chatting with a co-worker who lives near me. We were talking about how much time we spend commuting.. Then we started doing some quick math..

It seems that I spend 22 days of the year driving to and from work. This doesn’t include the driving I do DURING the workday, just getting to and from the office. I have to admit that I was amazed that I waste that much time in a year.

I’m kind of curious about the amount of time I waste waiting for elevators.. :)

So.. how much time do you spend driving in a year? :)

    4.5 days.

Its sadder when you look at how much time you waste waiting for the elevator, or your computer to boot (2.25 days), or the coffee maker (2 days); at least driving to work is time spent getting somewhere.

I’m far too bonked to calculate it right now, but it’s not much – my commute is about 10 minutes on a good day, and 20 minutes on a bad day.

    *SIGH*

I can only wish for commute times like that. I’m doing good on the weekends when it’s only 40 minutes to work..
